6 stocks from sugar sector with upside potential of up to 38%:

In a sector, where government policies have a major impact, the risk of any change in policy impacting the players is always present. That is the reason why the valuations of these stocks from such sectors don't cross a certain threshold. Probably the sugar sector tops the lists of such sectors and the reason is because both the central and state governments have some say in the policy making. Recently, there was a tweak in how much sugar cane juice can go for ethanol production and now a rise in fair remunerative price (FRP). 

Whether it is rice, sugar or wheat, given the hike in global agro commodity prices, there have been policy interventions in the last one year. From banning export of certain quality of rice to lowering import duty on edible oil, the government has tried to ensure that domestic food inflation remains under control. Now in an election year, when there are enough indications of a spike in global sugar price, the steps by the government should not come as a surprise.

Now coming to stocks, so for some time, these sugar stocks may not see a run up they had seen in the recent past or they may see a volatile movement. The question arises whether the decline in prices should be utilized as an opportunity to buy them with a long term perspective. The answer to this question is more titling towards yes, but the buying can be staggered. The reason over the next two quarters. Some of the sugar companies might be announcing results less than what analysts have estimated at this point of time.

These largecaps have 'strong buy' & 'buy' recos and upside potential of more than 20%:

In the last year, the differential in valuation between, mid and largecap stocks has increased very sharply. This differential is even more striking given the fact it has come even in spaces like private sectors which have been getting premium valuation for decades. If the market remains under the control of bulls there is a probability that over the next few quarters, markets may see a mean reversion. 

  When markets are trading with strong bullish bias, some of the stocks tend to move off from the list of algorithm based stock buying lists. This includes even the best of long term wealth creators. The reason, the potential upside in them is less than the algo defined levels. As soon as the market corrects, some of them are back on the list. As they are back this week, stocks like ITC, which has been off the list for some time, is back on the list. Also back on the list is HDFC bank and Kotak Mahindra bank, as the private sector banks continue to stay under pressure.

5 midcap stocks from different sectors with potential upside of up to 20%:

In the last two months of the market, while the midcaps have done well, though the pace at which the outperformance was taking place has slowed down. So, there is a profit booking taking place in different parts and sectors. Part of this profit booking is due to the fact the valuations are high and probability that it would continue. At this point of time one should also focus on reducing risk.

In equity markets, whatever precaution one might take, the probability of a mistake of getting stuck with a wrong stock is always high. But then there are mistakes and silly mistakes, just try to avoid silly mistakes. How? Stay away from stocks where there is a narrative that this sector will do well because of ABCD reasons or the company will get such and such orders worth this much. There is enough evidence in history to show that more than anything else, checks and balances are most important at this point of time, while making investment decisions and
avoiding silly mistakes.

All those who are looking to invest in mid caps, it would be worthwhile to look at some of the other fundamentals of the company before taking an exposure. Why should this be done? While there can hardly be any debate about the fact that valuations across market segments are high. But there is another fact that while valuations are high there are another couple of things which are also high. First, the desire to buy equity, especially midcaps. Second, flows from domestic investors and last but the least the risk. Now risk is something which the street is in mood to ignore at this point of time.

टीसीएस, एचसीएल, इंफोसिस में धीमी वृद्धि देखी गई:

आईटी शेयर महंगे दिख सकते हैं क्योंकि उनका मूल्यांकन उनके वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धियों की तुलना में अधिक है। लेकिन उन्होंने पिछले 20 वर्षों में लगातार विकास प्रदान किया है और उच्च ब्याज दरों और विश्व स्तर पर कम खर्च के बावजूद लचीला बने हुए हैं।
टाटा कंसल्टेंसी सर्विसेज (TCS) ने क्रमिक आधार पर दूसरी तिमाही के मुनाफे में 2.3% की वृद्धि दर्ज की, जबकि राजस्व 0.5% बढ़ा।
 
इंफोसिस ने तिमाही शुद्ध लाभ में 4.5% की वृद्धि दर्ज की, लेकिन चालू वित्त वर्ष के लिए अपने विकास अनुमान को 3.5% से घटाकर 2.5% कर दिया, जिससे कंपनी के शेयरों में बिकवाली शुरू हो गई।
 मजबूत ऑर्डर बुक के बावजूद मांग में सुधार के संकेतों की कमी का हवाला देते हुए आईसीआईसीआई सिक्योरिटीज ने 12 अक्टूबर को टीसीएस की रेटिंग घटाकर 'होल्ड' कर दी।

 “हमारे राजस्व वृद्धि अनुमानों में कटौती के कारण, हमने अपने FY24-26E EPS अनुमानों में 3% -5% की कटौती की है और अपने 12 महीने के लक्ष्य मूल्य को INR3,708 (बनाम पूर्व INR3,869) तक कम कर दिया है, जिसका अर्थ है 3% संभावित उल्टा.

शीर्ष भारतीय आईटी कंपनियों का लगभग 65% राजस्व अमेरिका और यूरोपीय संघ (ईयू) से आता है। गार्टनर के अनुसार, 2023 में वैश्विक आईटी खर्च USD4.7 ट्रिलियन होने का अनुमान है - पिछले वर्ष की तुलना में 4.3% की वृद्धि।

इंफोसिस के सीईओ सलिल पारेख ने पिछले गुरुवार को कंपनी के आय विवरण में कहा, "हम देख रहे हैं कि डिजिटल परिवर्तन कार्यक्रमों और विवेकाधीन खर्च का समग्र वातावरण कम है और निर्णय लेने की गति धीमी है।"
सभी आईटी स्टॉक निफ्टी 50 वैल्यू 20 इंडेक्स का हिस्सा हैं - शेयरों की एक टोकरी जो कम प्राइस-टू-बुक वैल्यू पर कारोबार कर रहे हैं लेकिन मजबूत वृद्धि दर्ज कर रहे हैं।

विमानन: भारत की निजी एयरलाइनों के ख़त्म होने से सबक



उनके आकर्षक उद्यमों की विफलता बिजनेस टाइकून की प्रतिष्ठा पर एक अमिट धब्बा छोड़ देती है। लेकिन इससे परे, जो बात वास्तव में मायने रखती है वह यह है कि ऐसी घटनाओं से कितना नुकसान होता है। सवाल यह है कि जनता का कितना पैसा कर्ज में वसूल हो जाता है? और इससे भी महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि क्या इन पराजय से सीखने लायक कोई सबक है?

आंकड़े क्या कहते हैं:

ईटी प्राइम द्वारा कोर्ट फाइलिंग सहित कई स्रोतों से संकलित आंकड़ों से पता चलता है कि ऊपर उल्लिखित तीन निजी एयरलाइनों पर बैंकरों, विक्रेताओं, विमान पट्टेदारों, ट्रैवल एजेंटों, कर्मचारियों, प्रशिक्षु पायलटों और यात्रियों का लगभग 50,000 करोड़ रुपये बकाया है।

पिछले महीने, भारत के विमानन क्षेत्र ने देश की पहली कम लागत वाली एयरलाइन, एयर डेक्कन के लॉन्च के दो दशक पूरे किए। तब से उद्योग की बेहद अशांत उड़ान में, भारत के सबसे बड़े कॉर्पोरेट दिग्गजों द्वारा संचालित तीन प्रमुख एयरलाइंस - माल्या की किंगफिशर, गोयल की जेट, और नुस्ली वाडिया की गो फर्स्ट - सभी ताश के पत्तों की तरह ढह गई हैं। और यह केवल दो समकालीन एयरलाइनों, इंडिगो और स्पाइसजेट को पीछे छोड़ देता है, दोनों को 2003 और 2006 के बीच लॉन्च किया गया था।
