स्टॉक रडार: इंडसइंड बैंक 1600 रुपये के स्तर को पार करने के समानांतर ब्रेकआउट:

विशेषज्ञों का सुझाव है कि अल्पकालिक व्यापारी 2 महीने में 1600 रुपये से ऊपर के संभावित लक्ष्य के लिए स्टॉक खरीदने पर विचार कर सकते हैं। 15 नवंबर को ऋणदाता ने 1536 रुपये की रिकॉर्ड ऊंचाई हासिल की। जुलाई 2023 से यह एक संकीर्ण दायरे में मजबूत हो रहा है। साप्ताहिक चार्ट पर बढ़त 1500 रुपये के स्तर से नीचे सीमित रही, जबकि नीचे की ओर समर्थन 1400 रुपये के स्तर के आसपास देखा गया।

4 insights to kick-start the day, featuring Kilitch's decision to pull out eyedrops in the US:

The Indian drugmaker is pulling out 27 products from top retailers including Rite Aid, Target and Walmart following public warnings of possible infections from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA). The US regulator flagged safety concerns due to unsanitary conditions at the manufacturing site. The products are intended to be sterile. Ophthalmic drug products pose a potentially heightened risk of harm because drugs applied on eyes bypass some of the body's natural defences. Kilitch has not received any reports of adverse events related to the recall, USFDA says. 

Microbiologists at Kilitch were filling backdated test results that purported to show batches of eyedrops were sterile, Bloomberg reports. "Samples revealed bacterial contamination in filling areas where the eyedrops were bottled," it said. Earlier this year, the US agencies had found that Chennai- based drugmaker Global Pharma's eye care brand Ezricare was linked to a drug-resistant bacteria that caused blindness in some cases.

Amazon Prime's sports bet

Amazon Prime Video will stream 15 sports including cricket, football, rugby, kabaddi, basketball, and horseracing through this partnership. Users would need an add-on annual FanCode subscription priced at INR249. The move is part of the e-commerce giant's efforts to step up its streaming play in the country. The partnership, reports said, will help Amazon Prime compete with Jio and Disney+Hotstar. FanCode, founded in 2019, has partnerships with ICC Pathways, Cricket West Indies, EFL, CONMEBOL, Volleyball World, and FIBA. While it might be difficult for Amazon to create an impact now, it can cash in on non-cricket games.Amazon spent USD50 million in 2017 to stream National Football League's (NFL) Thursday night games.

 The recent decline in oil prices despite the ongoing tension in the middle east being one of the biggest positives. Also with US fed indication, chances that there would be a very sharp outflow from emerging markets have come down. But some of the other risks are still on the table.  Refinitiv's Stock Report applies different algorithms & filters to all BSE and NSE stocks, and lists stocks which fulfill the various criteria as specified into the algorithms & filters to find.


While some of the headwinds which Indian markets have been facing might have receded, some of the risks which are specific to India are still very much there. One being the state election result and second one being valuation being at a very high level. In such conditions, it would still be better to stay focussed on large caps as they have more ability to weather the storms which come unannounced. We take a look at stocks which have shown outperformance in the phase of volatility in the nifty of the last few weeks.

Out performance can be measured in a couple of ways: either the stock has not fallen as much as the Nifty or it has been able to move up even if the index has slipped southward and when Nifty witnessed a recovery, it was among the first to gain. Also when the stocks are able to move faster then nifty or the index which they are part of. This tends to happen in a couple of cases only. First, there may be some fundamental development taking place in that company or sector, which is ensuring an outperformance. Secondly, these stocks have already seen a correction after which they are making an attempt to move upward. But the fact that stocks have done well when markets are under pressure, means that they should be at least looked at.

The "risk on trade" which started with the US Fed indicating a pause in the interest rate cycle continues on the street. The mid-cap have been able to once again outperform in the short term. Keep an eye on liquidity as that will determine what happens to mid-cap stocks.

There has been an improvement in the underlying sentiment for the midcap as reflected by iprovement in the market breadth. Also once again on some trading sessions, mid- caps are once again performing better than large caps. During the next few weeks, market breadth of the midcap segment would be a key indicator to watch. If the breadth remains positive then it would be a bullish indication.

4 power sector stocks with upside up to 31%:

A number of new players entered into the power sector, right from established industrial houses, to new companies without any experience in the power sector. Anything to do with power got valuations which were unheard of in that sector. The reason, a large number of these companies got stuck with legal cases, due to coal issues and the captive mine case hit them very badly.

Stock Radar: IndusInd Bank  breakout from a parallel  to surpass Rs 1600 levels:


Short-term traders can look to buy the stock for a possible target above Rs 1600 levels in 2 months, suggested experts. The lender hit a record high of Rs 1536 on 15 November. It has been consolidating in a narrow range since July 2023. The upside remained capped below Rs 1500 levels on the weekly charts while on the downside support was seen around Rs 1400 levels.


Private sector lender IndusInd Bank broke out from a parallel channel formation in November on the weekly charts to hit a fresh record high, and the chart pattern suggests that the upside is here to stay.

Short-term traders can look to buy the stock for a possible target above Rs 1600 levels in 2 months, suggested experts. The lender hit a record high of Rs 1536 on 15 November. It has been consolidating in a narrow range since July 2023.

The upside remained capped below Rs 1500 levels on the weekly charts while on the downside support was seen around Rs 1400 levels.


"On the weekly chart, we can clearly see that IndusInd Bank stock is trading in an uptrend rally forming higher high and higher low patterns since the past few months," said Jay Patel, Research Head at Investmentor Securities Limited.

RBI tightens norms for consumer loans amid rise in unsecured debit:


The Reserve Bank of India has increased risk weights for consumer credit exposure in commercial banks, including personal loans, by 25 percentage points to 125%. This comes after warning about the risks of surging personal loans. Unsecured loans have been an outlier at 23%, compared to an average of 12% -14%. This has led to record borrowing and household savings dropping to multi-year lows.


The Reserve Bank of India has asked institutions to increase the risk weights with respect to consumer credit exposure of commercial banks by 25 per cent to 125 per cent, merely a month after flagging the high growth in certain components of consumer credit and asking NBFCS, banks to strengthen internal surveillance mechanisms.

This hike includes personal loans but excludes housing loans, education loans, vehicle loans and loans secured by gold and gold jewellery.

Risk weights mean the amount of capital lenders have to keep aside to cover credit risk from a particular loan segment. The higher a risk weightage, the more amount of capital needed to be set aside by lenders for the loans.

Credit growth in unsecured loans has been an outlier at about 23 per cent as compared with an average of 12-14 per cent of credit growth in the country, according to the RBI. It has even outpaced the overall bank credit growth of about 15 per cent seen over the last year.

"Banks and NBFCs would be well advised to strengthen their internal surveillance mechanisms, address the build-up of risks, if any, and institute suitable safeguards in their own interest. The need of the hour is robust risk management and stronger underwriting standards," RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said on October 6, 2023.

RBI has also decided that the consumer credit exposure of NBFCs, which are categorised as retail loans, will now attract a risk weight of 125 per cent, up from 100 per cent.
