Dr Reddy's Laboratories, part of the pharma industry, has found support above the 89-Days Exponential Moving Average after hitting a record high in August 2023, and chances are that the momentum can take the stock towards Rs 5,800-6,000 levels.


The pharma stock bounced back after hitting the support on traders can accumulate stock above Rs 5,600 levels, suggest experts.

In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Taleb said the global economy is facing a "debt crisis" and that "we are on the verge of a recession".

He has also been critical of central banks for their low interest-rate policies, which he believes have created a bubble in asset prices.

"I think Nassim Taleb is a very interesting and thought-provoking writer. I don't agree with everything he says, but I always find his work to be stimulating," Buffett said.

Taleb's concerns about cryptocurrency are unmistakable. He bluntly calls bitcoin the "detector of imbeciles" in a Tweet, and he forewarns of AI-induced unemployment and social turmoil in an interview with The Guardian.

Notably, Saifedean Ammous, author of "The Bitcoin Standard," counters Taleb's stance, accusing him of a fundamental misunderstanding of bitcoin's technology and economics.

In a tweet in April, Taleb said the AI bubble burst is "the next big crisis". He argued that the AI bubble is "a black swan in the making" and that it is "only a matter of time before it bursts".

In his books The Black Swan and Fooled by Randomness, he says we are too sure about our ability to predict the future, and we don't realise how much luck plays a role.

Hotel companies  improved profit amid rising trend of asset:


hotel companies adopt franchise route thereby reducing capital investment. Between FY15 and FY23, the average operating margin before depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA margin) of the sample hotel companies improved to 34.6% from 17.6%. 

The share of rooms based on management contract (asset-light model) during the period increased to 40% from around 15%.

An analysis of their financials over the past eight years, which typically forms the industry cycle for hotels, reveals that the listed large and medium sized companies reported better profitability during the period, which underscores the effectiveness of the strategy of having a lighter balance sheet.


Hotels, Lemon Tree Hotels and Chalet Hotels have relatively higher growth in revenue than peers. Their revenues grew by 55- 91% in FY23. According to the latest data of hospitality research firm HVS Anarock data, in August 2023, India's hotels industry's Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR) grew by 16-18% year-on- year.
