Stock Radar: L&T Finance likely to hit fresh 52-week high; time to buy:


Analysts say L&T holgings hitted high in the last 6 months.

However, it has been gaining momentum for the last 7 months. The stock was up over 2% in the last 1 month compared to a negative return seen in the S&P BSE 500 index in the same period.

L&T Finance Holdings, a part of the financial services sector, has been holding strong amid the recent consolidation seen in the broader markets.
The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 140.20 on 3 July 2023 but failed to hold on to the momentum. 

The financial services stock gained traction after breaking out from the neckline of an inverse Head and Shoulder pattern back in June 2023 on the weekly charts.

“L&TFH has been witnessing a steady up move for the last seven months, after the breakout from a reversal pattern,” said Ajit Mishra, SVP - Technical Research, Religare Broking Ltd, said.

“It is showing tremendous resilience amid the prevailing corrective phase and formed a fresh buying pivot while holding firmly above the support zone of short-term moving average i.e. 20 EMA,” he said.

Tata Consultancy Services' (TCS) September quarter revenue flat on sequential basis, company announces INR17,000- crore share buyback.

Inside the news. TCS reported a year-on-year growth of 8% in revenue at INR59,692 crore, but remained flat on a quarter-on- quarter basis.

TCS shares fell 1.8% yesterday while the Nifty IT index lost 1.7% with all stocks in the index closed in the red. In a high interest rate and inflationary scenario, the demand for IT usually slows down and the sector will remain stressed until global growth comes back.

FSN E-Commerce Ventures (Nykaa), a part of the e-commerce industry, might be down over 30% from November 2022 highs.

The new-age stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 224 on 11 November 2022, but failed to hold on to the momentum. It closed at Rs 147.90 on 10 October 2023, which translates into a fall of over 34%.

Nykaa stock has, however, started to make higher highs and higher lows in October. On the weekly charts, the stock gave a breakout from a Descending channel, which is a positive sign for the bulls. 

Nykaa, which has a market capitalization of over Rs 42000 crore trades at a P/E of 746x and an earnings per share of Rs 0.2, BSE data showed.

“Nykaa stock was in the constant formation of lower highs and lower lows since getting listed on the Indian bourses,and looks poised for a move towards the Rs 300 level, which is the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement of the entire fall since listing,” said Gaurav Bissa, VP, InCred Equities.

“Traders can buy the stock for a short-term target of Rs 185 in the next 4-6 months and a stop loss can be placed below Rs 130 on closing basis,” recommended Bissa.

5 pharma stocks upside potential of up to 31%: 


Pharma stocks had been under pressure for a long time. Partly this under performance was due to over valuation at which these companies were trading since 2015.

 Also stocks came in the overowned category for both the institutional and retail investors portfolio. Last but not the least, close to 2014, USFDA inspections became both more in numbers and stricter, many companies which assumed that they can take care of anything, got a rude shock.
